ISPI held its third AGM on June 12, 2007. Full details are available below.

   
Background Information AGM Order of business:
After the conclusion of the June 12th session, the Vancouver ISPI Chapter will hold their  annual general meeting.  The meeting will address the following agenda:
 
ITEM 1
 
The election of the following positions:
 
Position                    Term
President                 January 1 to December 1st 2008
V.P. Programmes      June 2007 to June  2009
V.P. Membership       June 2007 to June 2009
 
A member who wishes to stand for election shall nominate himself or herself by informing any member of the Executive in writing (e-mail) at least seven days before the general meeting at which the election will occur.

Review of the Financial statement for 2006 - 2007

To accommodate monthly meeting costs for room rental and food it is to be proposed  that the annual fees be raised from the current fees of   $95 to $120 for regular members and from $65 to $95 for students
Minutes ISPI AGM Meeting Minutes

Meeting was held June 12, 2007 at the Plaza 500 Hotel

The meeting was called to order by Margy Hayden, Past President at 7:40 pm. 

There was election by acclamation for 3 positions:

  • President           Jan 1 2008 – Dec 2008               Michael Doody (elected for a second term)
  • VP programmes June 2007 – June 2009               Gary Harper
  • VP Membership  June 2007 – June 2009               Maureen Ewing

Anny St Yves provided a review of the financial statement and highlighted significant changes.

The executive put forward a dues increase.

There was discussion.

Carol Ann Fried moved to increase dues to $120 per year for members and $90 for students.  Ken Bellemare seconded the motion.

Motion carried.

Jim Wright moved that we have at least 9 regular meetings in the coming year, Tom Berryhill seconded. The motion carried.

Many ideas of meeting types were discussed.  At least one meeting should be more social.  ISPI Vancouver is 20 years old in 2008 and a birthday party would be in order.

Meeting was adjourned at 8:00 pm
