The
Presenter: Tara Fenwick Tara
Fenwick is Associate Professor of Adult Education at the University of Alberta.
Her research focuses on workplace learning, with particular interest in power
relations, equity and diversity issues affecting learning, and workplace learning
of the self-employed. Tara
Fenwick is co-author of The Art of Evaluation: A Handbook for Educators and
Trainers, editor of Sociocultural Perspectives on Learning Through Work,
and author of Learning Through Experience: Troubling Orthodoxies and Intersecting

Topic: Evaluating Adult Learning - How to Figure Out What They Really Know, Without
Tears
If
a single soil sample requires over 50 different measures to evaluate accurately,
how can we possibly evaluate human learning - ever? For the intrepid, this workshop
lays the issues on the table: multiple purposes, politics, perspectives, and
traps in evaluating adult learning. What
