Tara Fenwick Workshop - Last Chance to Register!

Our June 22nd special event with Tara Fenwick, "Evaluating Adult Learning - How to Figure Out What They Really Know, Without Tears" is almost here! This will be a half-day morning workshop and your registration includes a copy of Tara's book, The Art of Evaluation: A Handbook for Educators and Trainers. All for just $75 members/students, $100 non-members. Reserve your seat today! For more information or to register, click here.

Want to be a Co-Host?

ISPI Vancouver is seeking two co-hosts for our Tara Fenwick event (above). The co-hosts will be responsible for arriving early, coordinating set-up, managing registration, and taking care of other host-related duties throughout the day - plus some pre-event activities. Co-hosts should be reliable, well-organized self-starters. Experience with event management is an asset. In exchange, the co-hosts will each be provided with a reduced registration for the event ($50, includes book) - and will have the opportunity to participate in the event. To apply, send an email outlining your experience and why you feel you should be selected for this opportunity to Stacey Mitchell, VP Logistics, at smitc@shaw.ca ASAP.

Juluy 13: Partnering for Performance

Almost as good as being there! On July 13th our event will be Partnering for Performance: Nuggets from the 2004 International Conference in Tampa. Join Trina Pouttu, Joy Miller, et al, for some 2004 conference highlights.

This event consists of three parts:
1. Measuring ROI at Business Objects - with Trina Pouttu
2. Appreciative Inquiry for Leadership - with Joy Miller
3. Quick Panel Discussion - with Jim Wright, Krista Welton and Keith Fernandes

These build on the 2004 ISPI International Conference in Tampa and toward the 2005 International Conference in Vancouver. Erica Groschler, ISPI Vancouver VP 2005 Conference and past ISPI Vancouver president, will host the evening. More details coming next week!

ISPI Vancouver Elections UPDATE

A quick update for you on our elections process. (click here for the original notice).

1. President Elect. This position has been filled by Weston McMillan, CPT, previously our VP Special Events (click for bio). Weston will serve as 2005 President and 2006 Past President. Congratuations Weston!

2. Vice President of Membership. This position is still up for election - deadline extended to June 22 (this was previously announced as extended to June 15, but we wanted to give more time for our members to respond). This position, which will be vacant at the end of June, is for a two-year term from July 2004 to June 2006. With a new online membership database on the way, the VP Membership's role is evolving - so this is an exciting time for the incumbent to step into the role.

If you are interested in the VP Membership position, please contact Erica Groschler (ericag@telus.net or 604-263-7490) by June 22 . Erica is a past-president of ISPI Vancouver and is coordinating the election process.
