Student Volunteer Opportunities: |
| Are you interested in attending ISPI’s 43rd Annual Performance
Improvement Conference and Exposition but unable to afford the registration fee?
If you are willing to attend pre-assigned sessions or workshops, are open to monitoring
sessions you may not have selected on your own, and are able to distribute and
collect evaluation forms and assist ISPI presenters, send your name, complete
mailing address, phone, fax, and email address to: conference@ispi.org. ISPI will significantly reduce the conference registration
fee for all conference volunteers. Volunteers will be responsible for their own
travel, hotel, and other costs associated with attending the conference. Volunteers
are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. ISPI will contact you regarding
your assignment in November. | | | Presenter

Become
a Roving Reporter! | | | | February 20, 2005 Join
your fellow BC'ers for Breakfast at the ISPI Conference! The
Vancouver ISPI chapter is hosting a breakfast for all BC'ers attending the ISPI
conference. This special event will be held on Thursday,
April 14th, from 7:00-8:00am, in the Pan Pacific Hotel, Ocean View
7. If you plan on attending, please RSVP to Erica Groschler
(ericag@telus.net) and let her know you
will be joining us as we must determine how much food to order. Note that you
MUST be attending the conference to attend the breakfast. Conference
Volunteers We
are overwhelmed with the number of volunteers to help us at the conference. Volunteers
at the conference will be acting as hosts to conference attendees, answering questions,
and assisting where needed throughout the week. We are not anticipating anyone
providing more than one hour of their time away from any conference activities.
If you are interested in volunteering and have not yet told us, please email Erica
Groschler (ericag@telus.net). | | | February 5, 2005 Early
bird registration discounts for the conference are now closed. Registration
is still available at full price. For details, visit: http://www.ispi.org/ac2005/register.htm. | | |
| January 26, 2005 Important
Clarification: there had been some confusion about whether the
$200 BC Resident discount coupon could be combined with the $450 'bring a buddy'
discount. We have recently clarified that combining the two discounts IS
acceptable (provided you meet the conditions associated with using the
buddy rate - see the details at http://www.ispi.org/ac2005/).
If
you have any questions or challenges in getting this combined rate (e.g.
if you have been previously told by ISPI International that you cannot combine
these rates), you may call Keith Pew at ISPI International. . Keith's direct line
is 301-587-8570 ext111. We
sincerely apologize for any confusion. iscounts are available through ISPI International
until Feb 4. |

| January 12, 2005 New ISPI Conference Buddies group. ISPI Vancouver
has set up a Yahoo Group to assist members and non-members to connect with a "conference
buddy" for the ISPI International Conference. When you register with a friend,
you can get substantial registration discounts. For more information on conference rates, see below.
Note that the early bird discount ends February 4th.
| | | | December 9, 2004 Special Rate for BC Registrants Announced: ISPI International
is making great efforts to encourage BC residents to attend the International
ISPI Conference this April in Vancouver. They are offering several incentives
to those in BC – one of which is a $200 coupon*
for International members attending the conference, a $450 flat rate for a colleague
attending with an International member, and even $100 coupon*
off the student rate! There
are conditions that apply to using the $450 "bring a buddy" rate - refer
to the ISPI International
conference site for details. Important

in order to get the BC resident discount. As long as you they contact ISPI international
and indicate you are a BC resident, you will benefit from the discount. Check out the ISPI International Conference website for
the savings options at http://www.ispi.org/ac2005/register.htm. |
| | | November 27, 2004 Special Rate for BC Registrants: The ISPI
Conference committee has been busy negotiating with ISPI International to provide
a valuable incentive for BC'ers to attend this year's 2005 conference in Vancouver.
We have been informed that they will be offering a significant reduced rate (possibly
as much as $200 U.S. off the regular price) for any person working/living in BC.
You do not have to be a member of either ISPI International or our local chapter.
There will also be a discounted colleague rate, so find someone to pair up with
and you will obtain an even bigger discount!! Stay tuned for more information
about rates, we will keep you posted. Volunteer Roles: We will
be needing volunteers during the conference to help man the welcome booth our
local chapter is hosting. If you are interested in volunteering time during the
conference (you must be registered for the conference), please contact Erica Groschler,
ISPI Conference Chair at: ericag@telus.net. We'll provide more details of the upcoming conference
and our chapter's involvement as we get closer to the conference dates. Erica Groschler |
