March
8th Member Event *Reminder*
| | On
March 8th, join us for Improving
Through Impov, presented by David Gouthro
and Alisdair Smith. Improvisational
Theatre (improv) has been a core curriculum component in virtually every school
of acting and/or performing arts for many years. More relevant from the perspective
of ISPI members, it is a powerful method for improving the performance of the
organizations they work with as well as providing individual practitioners with
professional growth opportunities. You
will leave this session with: at least two improv activities you can immediately
choose to integrate into your work; a greater understanding of the opportunities
for using improv as a performance technologist; a greater appreciation for the
improvisational talent amongst the other participants; and
a healthy dose of fun! Who
are David and Alisdair? David Gouthro is President of The Consulting Edge and
has been a frequent presenter at ISPI Vancouver ISPI Chapter meetings. The Rev.
Alisdair Smith works with the Vancouver TheatreSports League in their Corporate
Training Group as a trainer and facilitator. Click

Conference - Message for Delgates | | Join
your fellow BC'ers for Breakfast at the ISPI Conference! The
Vancouver ISPI chapter is hosting a breakfast for all BC'ers attending the ISPI
conference. This special event will be held on Thursday,
April 14th, from 7:00-8:00am, in the Pan Pacific Hotel, Ocean View
7. If you plan on attending, please RSVP to Erica Groschler
(ericag@telus.net) and let her know you
will be joining us as we must determine how much food to order. Note that you
MUST be attending the conference to attend the breakfast. Conference
Volunteers We
are overwhelmed with the number of volunteers to help us at the conference. Volunteers
at the conference will be acting as hosts to conference attendees, answering questions,
and assisting where needed throughout the week. We are not anticipating anyone
providing more than one hour of their time away from any conference activities.
If you are interested in volunteering and have not yet told us, please email Erica
Groschler (ericag@telus.net).
