On October 11th, our guest speakers will be Kevin Savage and Margy Hayden who will speak on Improving Performance Through Thinking Skills.

Edward DeBono introduced the concept of improved thinking techniques several decades ago. These principles of thinking techniques, creativity and organized group thinking can greatly improve the performance of individuals, groups and organizations. This session will be an introduction (or review) of the 6-Thinking Hats and at least one lateral thinking technique to help you and your organization work better together. Be prepared to participate in these thinking activities!

With the 2005-2006 membership year, we have modified our advertising strategy:

• We will not longer accept any paid advertising, from members or non-members
• Members will be allowed to advertise events of interest to our membership in e-Spectrum at no charge

Why the change? We are glad you asked! This new strategy will:

• Inform all members of more events that may be of interest
• Provide a new benefit to our consultant members
• Assist with attracting and retaining members
• Reduce volunteer administration (paid ads required a lot of work and was not a significant revenue source)
• Also: with the elimination of paid advertising, we create new opportunities for corporate sponsorship (such as event sponsorship)
