9th Member Event | | On
November 9th, join us for our guest Elena
Galbraith, CPT, and Developing Great Job Aids-Tips
and Techniques. Who's
Elena? Elena Galbraith, CPT, works as a performance improvement program manager
for Microsoft in the Enterprise
Sales Productivity organization. "One
of the most critical design decisions related to developing training is whether
to store training information in long-term memory or put it in the performer's
hands. The time it takes to develop job aids is three to fives times shorter than
developing instruction-to-recall-saving the organization time and money.",
says Elena. Interested
in learning more? Then be sure to check out the full details for this event -

| Online
Membership Database - New! | | We
are very pleased to advise you that our new ISPI Vancouver
Membership Database is now live, online and ready for you to access.
You
can access the database at any time by clicing on the "Connect" button
on the main toolbar at the top of your screen (or just click
here). The 'public' view of the database only includes those members who chose
to have their listing available to all. The complete database, and the full features,
is only available to ISPI Vancouver members. The
techology that makes our online database possible has been generously donated
by InSpot
Development. Our heartfelt thanks go out to Sebastian
Okada, President and Founder of InSpot. Sebastian has generously donated
countless hours to getting us up and running. On behalf of the entire ISPI Vancouver
membership, thank you Sebastian for your vision, hard work and endless patience! This
project has been spearheaded by Alex Laks, our VP Technology. In addition to Sebastian's
efforts, other volunteers on the project include Kirsten Hansen, Margy Hayden,
Anne Preston and Roberta Westwood. Thanks also to Don McIntosh, Madeleine Butschler,
and Keith Fernandez for their input, plus the InSpot team for their efforts. Note:
If you are a current ISPI Vancouver member, you are in the datbase - as long
as you responded to our request to update your listing over the summer/fall (at
which time you also received login information). If you want to make changes to
your listing, or to make your listing 'public' (available to non-members), just
login and make your changes. Any questions about the database should be directed
to membership@ispi-van.org. | | Sebastian
