2005 CONFERENCE UPDATE

2005 Conference Update *New*

Special Rate for BC Registrants Announced

ISPI International is making great efforts to encourage BC residents to attend the International ISPI Conference this April in Vancouver. They are offering several incentives to those in BC – one of which is a $200 coupon* for International members attending the conference, a $450 flat rate for a colleague attending with an International member and even $100 coupon* off the student rate!

* Important Coupon Note: we have been able to clarify that the coupon is not actually needed in order to get the BC resident discount. As long as you they contact ISPI international and indicate you are a BC resident, you will benefit from the discount.

Check out the ISPI International Conference website for the savings options at http://www.ispi.org/ac2005/register.htm.

We have developed three scenarios (in US Dollars) to help you understand how to take advantage of some of the savings offered if you register for the Conference prior to February 4, 2005. Click here for details.

CHAPTER NEWS
ISPI Vancouver now a Registered Society

The ISPI Vancouver chapter has recently become a registered society. Under the chapter's constitution, this required a membership vote. Fifty members participated in the online vote, and the proposal passed overwhelmingly. The results were 100% YES!

ISPI Vancouver remains first of all a charter chapter of the International Society for Performance Improvement (ISPI). The incorporation simply gives us the added status of a legal entity, which is becoming increasingly useful. The ISPI Vancouver Constitution and Bylaws have been adapted for this new purpose. Click here to read the new constitution.

This intiative was led by ISPI Vancouver President Jim Wright with assistance from executive members Margy Hayden and Alex Laks.

ISPI Vancouver member Alvin Chok, president of Atrium Systems Group of Atrium Management Solutions Inc., generously conducted the incorporation vote. Atrium's excellent online survey system enabled a secure and confidential ballot.
