EVENTS
OF INTEREST
Content Convergence and
Integration 2008, March 12 - 14, 2008 |
Content Convergence and Integration 2008 is for content
professionals who need to find more strategic ways to manage
their content in a world where content now gets created and
syndicated, integrated, repurposed, and redistributed. Content
professionals, from Web to marketing to technical communication
professionals, from content management to knowledge management
to information management consultants, are searching for new
techniques to stay ahead of the curve.
The conference
tracks, appropriately enough, converge into three daily themes:
-
Day 1: Content – Liz Danzico, Editor Emeritus
of Boxes and Arrows, keynotes on Content 2.0
-
Day 2: Technology – Salim Ismail, head of
Yahoo! Brickhouse, keynotes on The Future of XML Publishing
-
Day 3: User Relationships – Michael
Fergusson, Chief Products and Innovation Officer at Uniserve
Communications, keynotes on Culture, Commerce, and Copyright
at Content Convergence and Integration Conference
In
addition, the conference is showcasing the special focus area of
tourism in anticipation of the 2010 Winter Olympics, which faces
all the content challenges being discussed at the conference:
multiples types of content converging and being redistributed,
being integrated and syndicated, in multiple, complex ways.
Visit
http://convergence.confabb.com/conferences/cci2008 to view
the speaker line-up and the session topics.
To get the
authentication code to register with
the Association Discount, contact the Conference Coordinator at
lhaussler@strategya.ca,
or call 604-696-1993, extension 1.
Early Bird
registration is US$599 for a Full Conference Pass, US$699 after
January 15, 2008.
A One-Day Pass is US$249; US$299 after January 15, 2008.

Lynn
Corrigan, ISPI Vancouver VP of Logistics shares a recent web

enjoying his Summer of Development. You can listen to
conference call notes that answers
questions and discusses material
in Go Put Your Strengths to Work
his latest book."

Ken Bellemare, ISPI Vancouver VP of Marketing, says: "One of
my all time favourite authors is Roy H. Williams - he has
written a number of books called The Wizard of Ads. They are
not so much about advertising but more about the psychology
of how we think and why we buy what we buy. He has a great
one page memo every Monday morning."
