ISPI Vancouver is planning a Special Event for Thursday, June 29th, from 8:30am-12:30pm (8:00 sign-in and breakfast) at the Hilton Metrotown.

Our featured speaker for this half-day morning workshop, Leveraging Energy to Improve Performance, will be Brian Fraser of Tekara Organizational Effectiveness Inc.

Canadian business people face an energy crisis. The demands of workload and productivity are constantly increasing. The pressures and stress of the wired workplace never let up. Energy for peak performance is to often drained and depleted by these realities.

Time management alone is not the answer to these conditions. We have to learn to manage and leverage our energy better. If Peter Drucker is right in his assertion that self-management is the key skill for peak performance in the twenty-first century, then learning to leverage our energy to achieve full engagement is the foundational competence.

This workshop will introduce participants to the Energy for Performance™ approach, based on the bestselling book The Power of Full Engagement, by Jim Loehr and Tony Schwartz.

Drawing on techniques developed over the past 30 years at the Human Performance Institute - first with elite athletes, then with others in high-stress occupations like business - the programs have a proven track record of helping people improve performance in stress-laden situations by building capacity and momentum to contribute their best to what really matters to them.

Highlights of this interactive learning experience will include:

  • Exploration of the specific demands and stresses that you and your clients face in today's workplace
  • Assessment and dialogue about your current capacity for managing the spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical dimensions of your energy
  • Introduction to the Energy for Performance model
  • Discernment of the most highly-leveraged change you can make to being to improve your energy management
  • Discussion of the potential benefits of better energy management for you and your clients
