Description: June 14: This session will feature perspectives of how Human Performance Technology has and can be applied in organizations to improve results. Come and learn about the challenges, keys and outcomes of HPT in action. Panel members:

Margy Hayden — HPT: Applications for the Line Manager As a line manager, Margy has used the HPT framework to help internal clients improve performance in the workplace. As a training practitioner at ICBC, she used HPT to provide a framework to business analysis and process improvement. She also used the framework to implement “training avoidance” techniques through better design through user analysis and testing. Now, as a line manager, she often pulls applies Carl Binder’s 6 Boxes to analyze performance, processes and tools.

Carol Sutton — ISPI Conference’s Focus: Delivering Results For training to bear fruit, we need to remember that it is just one aspect of the solution, along with changing the workplace environment and realigning work processes. That’s what “human performance improvement” means.
